R.I.P Ray Harryhausen
1920-2013

Earlier this week the world of film said a sad goodbye to "The Godfather of Stop Motion Animation" aka Ray Harryhausen. The man was a legend & was lucky to live to the age of 92, doing what he loves best (animating his creations).

In todays film & media so much is done with CGI, with stop motion & traditional animation taking a back seat, which I is a shame.

Take a peak at the beneath video of a chronilogical list of all of Ray's feature film creatures.

"Monsters Inc" came out over 1o years ago in 2001 & to this date has gotta be my favourite Pixar feature film. This summer sees the the second installment "Monsters University". The college years prequel, looks funny as hell!

New animated short, based in London due for public release this 2012.
The film is a vision from animator Neil Boyle& includes some amazing work from Roy Naisbitt, known for his black & white tile work on both "The Thief  & The Cobbler"  &  "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".
