Earlier this week the world of film said a sad goodbye to "The Godfather of Stop Motion Animation" aka Ray Harryhausen. The man was a legend & was lucky to live to the age of 92, doing what he loves best (animating his creations).
In todays film & media so much is done with CGI, with stop motion & traditional animation taking a back seat, which I is a shame.
Take a peak at the beneath video of a chronilogical list of all of Ray's feature film creatures.
Bank holiday over, the highlight has got to be the "Breakin' Convention"- Park Jam. Such a positive & inspirational day out. No entry fee, no age limits just fun in the sun with Break dancers at all levels on the lino, spray paint area allowing kids to see how its done, of course there was a fashion area selling all that good stuff from the likes of "Kicks & Klothes", "Kicks On The Moon" & "Playdot" to name a few. I take my hat off to the MC's going at it all day, & I didnt hear them swear once, talk about setting a good example for the kids. Shouts out to my man Junior & little Shayla.
