The BNW Crew did it again! A community event, BBQ, sticker trade, artist meetup, skate session at the North Hollywood Safespot. Running from 15th June-11 September 2011 at The Barbican Art Gallery, London. "An exhibition dedicated to animated imagery produced during the last 150 years. Bringing together industry pioneers, independent film-makers and artists, the exhibition features iconic clips alongside lesser-known works, as well as puppets, stage sets, background paintings, wire-frame visualisations, cel and background images. Artists, film-makers and studios represented include Aardman, Walt Disney, Studio Ghibli, Eadward Muybridge, Lumière Brothers, Len Lye, William Kentridge, Christian Boltanski and Kara Walker. The show's title comes from the American cartoonist and animator Winsor McCay, who prefaced his short film 'Little Nemo' with the invitation to 'Watch Me Move', introducing a cast of colourful characters in a playful promenade".- Time Out Magazine |
